In April this year, I attended the Annual conference for the Lung cancer association in Norway. At the conference, I agreed to contribute to a new book for lung cancer – ‘Every day counts‘.
Last week, I attended the book launch in Oslo and received a copy of the book. It was a proud yet humbling feeling to be surrounded by fellow patients. Over the next weeks, myself and others from the Lung cancer association will be in cities across Norway, presenting this book.
My story covers my life before the diagnosis, the diagnosis process and where I am after 2 years of treatment. Clinicians have commented the stories.
‘Learning that you have cancer is tough. Some types of cancer like lung cancer are harder to detect than others resulting in more advanced situations when first detected. By sharing my experiences, I hope to give hope and maybe reduce the fear of this diagnosis.
The book is written and published by Kreftkompasset
