Over the last years, Francis and I have spent a lot of time gardening, during the spring & summer. We enjoy our trips to the horticulturists – choosing plants to add to the garden. Our focus has been perennials – flowering plants that will attract bees and butterflies and a winter greens patch that keeps the garden looking good over the autumn and winter, until snowfall covers the garden.
Today, it is early July and the red currants are soon ready to enjoy. The other berries will take most of the summer to get ripe.
This year, we decided to start a small vegetable patch that will hopefully give us a chance to try some new plants over the next seasons. For now, I am anxiously awaiting the first few tomatoes.

Our vegetable and fruit planting is slowly taking shape. Looking forward to next summer!
