August this year will be three years since my cancer diagnosis. June 2021, was my last holiday before the ‘cancer diagnosis’.

We travelled with close friends to a cabin in Lofoten to experience the midnight sun in the North of Norway. After this trip, July was spent with regular trips to the hospital to get scans and tests done.

The trip to Lofoten was wonderful but the highlight of the trip was a midnight kayak trip. The trip started about 11:00 pm. We kayaked out for a while, stopped for some biscuits and coffee with the rest of the tour group and then kayaked back to the shore after midnight. We were extremely lucky with the weather. It night was warm and bright and the ocean was still so kayaking for new beginners, like us, was amazing.
